Today I attended a Code and Coffee session of the Madison Ruby on Rails User Group. It was a lot of fun. It sounds like they have the guy from http://radiantcms.org/ doing a talk in October. I’ll probably start attending their events regularly. There were probaly about 13-14 people there. We met at Escape Java Joint on Willy street. I used to drive past it every day when I worked at Applied Tech. Who knew how big it was. It looks like this tiny hole in the wall but it’s really nice. They have a smallish conference room that you can reserve as well as an auditorium with a stage.
I can run Ruby on Rails on my laptop with the ruby webserver but I can’t seem to get it to work with Apache. That’s weird because I don’t remember having any problems with it last time I installed it. Oh well.
The meeting was just a meet and greet. No talks or anything. That worked out well.
